Pilea peperomioides is a Chinese native, and is sometimes called the pancake plant or UFO plant because of its round leaves. Mature plants produce ‘pups’, or baby plants which surround the mother plant. Leave them be for a fuller plant, or detach and plant up to share. Weirdly wonderful!
Care: bright, indirect light, water when the top of the soil dries, usually every 1-2 weeks.
